Just move the tramline shutoff to 36 inches from 1 side of the drill
Drill 2 normal runs then switch the tramline on on the inside of field on run 3
Run 4 drill in opposite direction for the other half of the tramline
Drilled thousands of acres like that in the 1980's.
You have to drill with the same side of the drill next to the hedge every time though - can be a bit awkward with the position of gate holes in relation to the field and drilling headlands. You can end up at the far end of the field and have to run on the drilling to get out if you're not careful. As long as you know what you're doing, it's not a problem.

I assume you have a trailed sprayer.we grow potatoes and aim not sure how a trailed would be on the headlands at getting in and out of the rows without making a mess.
No mounted

Tracking drawbar / steering sprayer axle.
Side slopes would be more of an issue?
@Spud

Tracking drawbar useless, but steering axle makes it far better than an sp in my experience, because you can steer the back of the sprayer uphill without taking the front of the tractor uphill.

If you shut half the drill off for the first run,,,,,,,DON¬T do what some people have done and for got to un shut the half and carry on drilling the field  No no,honest,I don`t know anyone that has done that:rolleyes:
Have you never drilled 80 acre of rape like that , know some one who did , told him to drill it same cross over ,and was going to bring some big round bales ,and have a gigantic 0 s and crosses board , 😡😡
he had to go back and fill in evry other 4 m when it come through

I once knew of a chap who never bothered with the first 2 meter run around edge of field. Left it so the boom hung over 2 meter so he got a good clean kill of weeds on his ditches! Before the days of field margins .

Do the booms folding around cab not bother you?

How bigs tank? Looks a fair size.
No they are a fair way off the cab. Trees is the main trouble but I’m lucky we haven’t got that many low ones on the roads as we cut them back to get Cattle lorry’s in. Tank is 1900

Saw that on a visit to my wifes parents just down the road from there, they all asked wtf was going on whilst out on a dog walk past there, the half width shutoff not being turned back on was the only thing I could come up with.

Grandad sent some one out drilling once and he had the drill on half width, he couldnt work out why the drill only needed filling up one side🤦🤦🤦 anyway when he finished and came back into the yard they realised what he'd done so grandad sent him back out the next day to go up and down the field the other way round to drill the gaps but he got it wrong and drilled the same half again!!!!!🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦😁😁😁😁😁

Definitely go 28 or straight to 36 with a 4m we should've gone to 28 but the sprayer came mid season so still needed 24m but the next change will be wider to save the half width . We don't tramline the ends just use the join of the 3rd and 4th widths to follow round

any one who does drilling and not made any cock ups has not done much ,
horsch man other day ,was saying about , the lid you flip over to do half shut off , ,some one forgot , and bashed on with some expensive seed been grown for seed , so drilled it in half drill widths , but it was blowing full amount down one side of drill 😳 ,no more seed so it had every other run at double seed rate ,
he did not comment on the out come

Nah, tramlines are so 1970's. I just drill, and get the sprayer chap to put them in with GPS. :)
My spring crops usually only get one fungicide, so late developers in the wheel marks aren't really a problem.

Slightly off topic but we have just got a 4m drill but still on 18m tramlines till we change the sprayer.
Is there any magical way of making the 4m drill work with 18m tramlines otherwise i'm going to just put them in with the sprayer

overlap 2m on 2nd run, just the same. I can sell you a 24m trailed sprayer. ;)

Drill 2 normal runs then switch the tramline on on the inside of field on run 3
Run 4 drill in opposite direction for the other half of the tramline

This is what we do. Just one tramline on the drill, then turn around and do the same the opposite way. We have auto steer so the lines match up. They might not be parallel with manual steering but it shouldn’t matter as you’re always running more ground down than has no seed anyway.
