Well, obviously. Many thanks Clive for letting me know that before I made a calamitous mistake.

I shall inform my neighbour just in case he was thinking of selling certified seed in future.

Yes, it’s just a bag he has left from last years harvest and has no use for.

It’s a ridiculous state of affairs when you can’t sell surplus seed you’ve bought but not used . I would never do that anyway . [emoji849]

You cant sell surplus seed even as ‘common’, ie not a specific variety?
Here in Canada we can sell cereal and other seed off farm as long as we do not name the variety - for now anyway.

In that case shouldn't we pay royalties when buying second hand cars etc due to development costs.
