We have got a 8 year old 531-70.

Its dripping oil from metal pipe under chassis behind front axle. Just on the Tee for accumulator. Its the for the fan reverser so the accumulator takes shock out. Its leaking top side of pipe.

Just had chap here that reckons on a three day job. Engine and gearbox out then pipe out to repair.

Anyone had one before? Is there an easier way?

We have tried a bit of liquid metal but no good and its not the doughty washer tried that as well!

I would look to cutting steel pipe back on a straight bit and using a compression fitting on the good old bit then either rubber or another new bit of steel pipe?

Or even cut it out, get a new pipe cut in to sections and re join in machine with compression fittings (compression as in straight metal joiners with olives/cutting rings)

cant remember where the pipe routes, can you take a photo of it?, seems a big job just to do that ,never heard of it before, can you not disconnect it and weld it up in situ?

Bit late to take a photo of it on machine!
Going to try compression fittings as suggested by @ACEngineering. (y)
22mm pipe. Hopefully just get 2 and do either side of new Tee.
I'll get a photo if we manage.

If you tighten the compression fittings up well in the vice on the bits you can get off machine so the cutting rings/olives are nicely tight on to the pipe it can be easier than doing it all in the machine with limited room.

First photo looking straight up behind front axle can see drive shaft. Second image bit of close up.
Bit tight for room and had to use bit of flexible to finish.
Big thanks to Castle Hydraulics in Warwick, very helpful.
