6150 front axle crown+ pinion

Need massey 8150 crown and pinion.Dana 200 front axle. Part# 3902579M1.
Dana Italy back ordered 6 months.
Using tire chains on rear tires to get by.
We have had many mornings of -40 and -42 overnite here in Saskatchewan.

If it’s the pinion splines gone can’t you bodge it for a few weeks? Cut about 1/4 of the shaft off lengthways, fill one edge of the coupling up with weld and bash it on? Square the shaft off and square the coupling up with some welding? Stick the coupling on, weld it to the shaft? I’ve seen them all and quite surprised how long some have kept going.

If it is wirn splines you need to re bush the axle pivot to avoid the stress on the shaft running out of line though.

Or do it properly , big job replacing crown wheel and pinion , especially at -42

I have a complete axle off a 2003 5455, the diff casing is damaged as the bush broke up, despite regular greasing, the rest is in good order, was cheaper to get new axle than mess around replacing diff casing. Axle plate below
