As long as it's the same spec use whatever i can't remember what make it is but we get our oil from our fuel suppliers now as it's a LOT cheaper and after all the refinery doesn't just make oil for John Deere to put in barrels ;)

What filters do you use?
To be fair I still put genuine filters on but that's probably just laziness in looking for them elsewhere and getting the right ones

We got fed up with oil prices at local dealer they varied wildly between depots so just get it from fuel suppliers now that's engine and backend and running 4 autopower with no problems whatsoever

Using shell rimula rt4L and genuine filters on jd 20 and 30 series.

I think the Shell RT4L is the same as Plus 50 11, Shell make John Deere oils.

If you ask the JD parts man nicely you can get at least 15% discount if you pay there and then and this makes their oil and filters competitive with others. Last time I wanted a barrel of engine oil the JD was slightly cheaper than Shell.

I've just ordered 4 Michelin ZP tyres for my car from Blackcircles. They had a 10% cyber Monday discount and were £179 inc VAT and fitting. My usual tyre place were £25 more per tyre, so I've saved £100 by not being loyal. I like to buy the best, but at the lowest price possible!

So it’s made it to 10000h on genuine oil and now you want to put something different in:scratchhead:.
I’ve said it before genuine oil is cheaper than the first hour of doing this job!

Just saying, I know which oil I’m sticking with(y)
I have to ask what's so special about the same oil in a green and yellow drum as the different coloured ones that will be filled from the same tanks somewhere by an oil company for John Deere?
