My 2630 is attached to a sprayer iso loom on the odd occasion it recognises the drill it thinks its a mounted planter with 8 rows. I have a switch onthe mettering wheel arm plugged into the loom for switching.

Set up a machine profile for the drill, put all the measurements in. Tell it what you are drilling. All can be done on the equipment tab on gs3 section of menu. You can choose what starts and stops mapping, ie spool 1 or link arms.

Surely you should be able to use the land wheel as the coverage on/off switch as you do for activating the seeding motor? Would just need setting up on the 2630 pages

Did you get any further with this? A finger microswitch on the land wheel wired into the implement switch at the back of the tractor is how I've done this in the past. There should be a 2 wire plug coming out of the loom with the trailer light socket. If there's more than one, don't use the one with a bridge link cover. Rather than spend a fortune on a JD plug, I just cut the plug off & fitted spade connectors to the ends of the wires. It's just a simple on/off switch so don't go putting 12V down any wires or you'll have trouble with the Canbus system.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
