We're embarking on buying our first tractor and have found trawling through the different options quite difficult, that being said all but two of the 12 dealers we've contacted have gotten back to us with a quote.

Does anyone have any advice or recommendations of tractors in this range? Mostly it will be bale carting, feeding in the winter and light field work (topping, spraying, spreading).

Don’t think brand comes in to is as much as dealer relationship you have and comfort and ease of use. If you have no particular brand loyalty then find one you like the inside of and loader and go from there. Personal preference to choosing the right tractor for your needs. Deutz are at the top of my list for loader tractors.
