A close shave - Matbro TS260 wiring loom sources?

Hi everyone, I have a 1994 Matbro TSW260 telehandler. Oldish machine, but we nurse it along and as you can all appreciate, with the price of new machines as they are we're trying to keep it running as long as possible.

The other week, after parking it up for the day, there was a horrible burning smell, and we opened up the engine cowl, and the wiring loom was afire. If we'd left the shed five minutes earlier, the whole lot would probably gone up like a roman candle.

It looks like maybe the starter solenoid developed a fault, fuses have not blown, and a heavy current has been allowed to flow and melt the loom insulation to the point where it has fired.

Luckily we caught it in time before the fire spread, but the whole loom is knackered.

It's a long shot, but does anyone know a source of matbro looms or a recommended auto electrician that makes them up?

I'll put some pictures up later today.

I doubt my man has one but engine loom will be easy to make up on the machine.

Cheap crap starter will have been the cause no doubt. That or solenoid wire rubbed through to live and burnt starter out that way.

From the way you describe the problem, you may well be able to tackle the loom repair yourself, with some guidance?
