One star safety rating death trap. No, we probably won't see it in the UK, thank goodness. Fiat/Chrysler/Jeep can surely do better than that cheap and nasty under-engineered monstrosity.
You've ordered yours then?
I’d love a f150 too but just too big.there are a few American pickups runn Not around local and one is a dually.it must be well over 8ft wide.most American trucks woukd seat 4in the front and the centre console in some of em is like a dining room table.id still have one though
Nick...
They never had to subject them to a crash test. They should have been an embarrassment to the brand. Defender only really met 1980 standards with a few add ons to make it look as if they at least paid lip service to their customer’s safety. This is competition for our size trucks I think, from the video. As for “death trap” ..... Landrover had no problem selling those for 60 plus years

Is that not why they had to stop Defender production?
The F150 is not much bigger than the Ranger. It is certainly a good deal shorter than that Jeep.I’d love a f150 too but just too big.there are a few American pickups runing around locally and one is a dually.it must be well over 8ft wide.most American trucks woukd seat 4in the front and the centre console in some of em is like a dining room table.id still have one though

Anyone seen this one:
They only sold them as Iveco for a short time and production ceased many years ago. There are a few in the UK and I remember going to a small demo by the importers some considerable years ago when they were called Santana. Its basically a derivative of a SeriesIII Land Rover and the company actually manufactured the split-case manual five speed gearbox fitted to factory V8 Defenders circa 1985/86.
Pretty sure that Iveco/Santana ceased production about 20 years ago when they found that there was hardly any market for it.
