What does the farmer that owns the trees say when you talk to him about it?
Do you need to be clearer with him?
If it was me and the tree on the corner of the main road was making things dangerous for me and my family, I would be making my point quite firmly.

He has no interest. He has no close family. A pig sty would be cleaner than his house. Rats running everywhere. sh!t up to the sill of your car type place.

Surprised the wind as not bought some down

It’s had a few but they’re all so closely butter noe I think they support each other a bit

Would be on to Highways with the photographic evidence. Once it gets a "case number" it can snowball quickly & action taken.
That junction looks terrifying, proper "accelerate & hope" job. :(

@Headless chicken could house owner be causing you problems to encourage you to buy his problem!?

I do suspect that as he knows I want/ need it he’s trying to push the “devaluation” onto me when infact its the person who owns the land around it.

@Headless chicken You need the land not the house.

Agreed! It won’t happen until he dies sadly.

Highways have been out to look at it when I last made the thread. If I’m honest I was disgusted with their response.

They said to me they can’t do anything with the view to the right as you pull out as there is a telegraph pole to the left so that obstructs your view too. The fact that we drive on the left in this country seemed to have no baring. Sadly it will be a fatality before they do anything. It’s a straight road traveled at high speeds often by motorbikes too. If someone tried to overtake when we were pulling out they’d be killed instantly

All we can do is just creep out slowly until we can see and just hope.
Cars often dont even slow down despite being able to see that there is a tractor/handler moving out of the turning.
I have had them travelling directly under the raised loader before even when there is a bale on the front.

I hope you have put your concerns in writing, letting them know that you’ll take the matter straight to the press when an accident happens.

How does cutting the trees back stop damage to the house if its so close to the road? Also stay on the right side of the law and get an arboriculturist to do any tree trimming - they should check for TPOs and do the wildlife survey to ensure there are no nesting birds etc. Just seen a post on another forum where someone taking a dangerous tree down was savaged on social media re birds etc.

We know there are no TPOs.
There are two separate problems here , one is the house and the removal of one tree right at the exit would help to resolve that but in addition there is an avenue of trees further up the lane which are growing into the lane

House looks perfect for that new assistant herdsperson you want in future....(y);)

I vote someone local takes their hedgetrimmer to the lot, someone who is clearly a maniac/half mental and of a borderline legal mentality. Any volunteers? I don't have a hedgetrimmer so that is me out but I'd send a tenner in the post as a gofundme fund provided video evidence was obtained.
