Acorn toxicity.

Hi, cow suspected of eating acorns. Scouring, nose blistering by still running round.

Any cures other than knacker wagon. Vet not very positive perhaps realistic, says hydration maybe best.

We had one that got a taste. Had the vet out and removed a wheel barrow of acorns from her gut!! I think coffee might help if you dont want to cut her open.

Gave her some electrolytes, certainly looked to have got a taste for them as she ran across the field for one dropping!

How much coffee? Decaf or full Fat!

Definitely full fat. Last one we did I think it was double what I would have had in a mug (1tea spoon). So I guess about 4 teaspoons per litre.

4 teaspoons! I have that on a morning . Gave her slightly more, will see how she goes.

Still walking around this morning, skin on nose peeled! Looks brighter though.
