Afternoon All,

Who does everyone buy their Activated Carbon from for their CHP H2S filter?

I've previously used Environ but have found them to be very expensive. I've been contacted by a company called Jacobi Carbons and I'm very tempted to give them a go. Anyone have any experience dealing with them?

250kW CHP pulling approx 140m3/h raw biogas at full capacity. H2S is typically between 50-300ppm.

Cheers.

What make of CHP? We run at 100-200 ppm H2S with no filter, and are about to come up to 56000 hours without problems

I looked at the 2G when choosing my new CHP, it was the requirement for the carbon filter that put me off, got an IET which has been brilliant.

Really can't fault them - our 2 have achieved just over 96% of full capacity over the last year but the cost of Carbon changes is beginning to mount!

I am 2G, and use environ, got some prices at the adba show last year, and there are cheaper about, but I was told that there are different grades, so I stuck with environ.
Are you at the ADBA show this year? I will be there on the Weds, involved in the Roundtable Discussion on the Future of On Farm AD in Piazza Suite 2, 12.00-13.30 on 5 July. Perhaps we should have a TFF meetup

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.

This webinar will be...
