Add-f silage additive

I remember years ago using add-f in a watering can on the shoulders of the clamp before covering.
Is there anything available today for this. We have very little waste on the top but there can be a little waste on the shoulders due not getting it rolled as well.
We use an innoculant on the silage bit it does not eliminate the shoulder waste that was never a problem years ago.
Would ordinary propcorn do this job or is it the wrong type of acid?

I did try it a few years ago and haven't done it since!!
No substitute for rolling and tyres

Plus the acid will kill the good.bugs
It's only on the shoulders that there is any waste because I can't get it rolled as well as I'd like. There is always two covers on top with side covers up the walls and turned in. Tyres are touching when covering.
Would putting it on with a watering can at the side affect the bugs in the whole clamp?

We have found gravel bags round the outside eliminate most waste.
