What's wrong with agricultural land being valued by its ability to produce agricultural produce?

Of course that will never happen in the UK, but we can wish.

I think some sort of realignment in land prices is bound to happen at some point in the future. If or when it happens it will be very bad news for those of us with large mortgages. The good news is I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.

I don't think you'll need to worry too much even if/when it happens. On such a very small and very crowded little island full of lunatics willing to build houses, roundabouts, roads, railway lines and buy pony paddocks and land for rewinding, I doubt any such realignment of land value will be very large.

The good news is that for those of you that are left, there will be plenty of mouths to feed and not much land to feed them from! £££££££! Land value might even keep going up? Good luck new entrants!
