I enquired once, and had several chats with the owner. Seemed a likeable fella, if a little bit pushy. I ordered a Bildabin instead, which was quite a bit cheaper at the time and whose product & service I couldn't fault. If I was looking for another fibreglass bin, I wouldn't hesitate to go back.:)

I think they're oop North though, so prices might be different down to you.

Mine are 6 tonners, just mind you won't fit a loader bucket under them unless it's a four foot bucket.

I use a big plastic pallet box which holds 600kg (900lt box) with a homemade shute on the box to empty
On the larger Hanco bin..9.5 ton..which has a bagging shute fitted,i think they call it a snacker bin the shute pipe comes out pass the legs

That's about the size of the Bildabin I have. I had leg extensions, so that I could back a snacker under the hopper. Don't have the snacker now, but it worked well like that. Also makes it the right height for bagging off, with an upturned Chrystalix tub to sit the bag on.

Our chute on hanco a god send, snacker and back pick up under for simple quick bagging. Saying that we have a nightmare over last two years, not at all hanco bins fault, but were buying feed from a well known big firm that got too big and closed a mill, odd loads coming too warm stuck to the sides, didnt realise, but we run a fair few cattle and sheep and load after load the build up around sides has got to the point where they are half full of wasted cake and often blocks the running. Looked at professional cleaning, way too dear, so tall I don't know the answer. Grub was run low at end of winter as use very little in the summer, but the sticking is as high up as 7/8 of the height of the bin. Always a new problem in farming!!

Ah hot cake! Been there a few times, not had a problem with it sticking to the sides- fibre glass bins maybe better for this?
- but got the t-shirt for having to use a length of blue pipe to to wriggle the first ton or two out!

How do you bag it off? Iv just bought a hanco 9.5t with extensions for snacker to go under it but filling bags I’m not sure how it works 4ft off the ground 👍

I have a Bildabin that was specc’ed the right height to back a snacker under it. It has a short tube that you slot onto the bottom of the bin for bagging, and an upturned 80kg Chrystalllix bucket underneath sits the bag at just the right height.

On Thursday 26th September, we’re holding a webinar for farmers to go through the guidance, actions and detail for the expanded Sustainable Farming Incentive (SFI) offer. This was planned for end of May, but had to be delayed due to the general election. We apologise about that.

Farming and Countryside Programme Director, Janet Hughes will be joined by policy leads working on SFI, and colleagues from the Rural Payment Agency and Catchment Sensitive Farming.
