Anybody going? I’ve probably left it too late to go now, usually get invited by a manufacturer but I can’t be buying from the right dealers now!!

When we went 10yrs ago we stayed in hamburg as flights were more suitable and accommodation a LOT cheaper and it's a very good train service to hannover

10 of us flying to Berlin, then train to Hannover for the show.
Couple of nights in both cities to make sure we see all the sights!!
You can bet your bottom dollar it will be dry that week, still got wheat and beans to drill....

A few of us after we finished college drove out, stayed in a lovely little town called Hanem (20 minutes south of Hannover) there was a train service from Hanem to Hannover too

Same was there in 2015 as well, it’s mind blowing the scale of it, so well run too.

I’ve been wanting to go for years. Problem is it’s right at one of our busiest times of year with hay baling and harvest starting.
Hopefully when I retire one day I’ll get before I’m dead

Just thought this could be the place to advertise a couple spare rooms I have going due to last minute cancellations. I have 2 x twin rooms in central Hannover if you’d be interested in one of them?

start a few towns away rather than Hanover which seems to x5 all its room
rates that week ! - train links and roads in are excellent - much cheaper

The only other thing I’ve been to that comes close in terms of size and numbers of people is the Irish ploughing match. Agritechnica is completely machinery focussed though and much bigger machinery.
Well actually no, it’s not the only other thing, the other thing that comes close to Agritechnica is of course Euro Tier, held every other year in Hanover, it is the livestock farmers version of Agritechnica so no arable equipment or tractors but just about every machine you could think of for a livestock farm, along with a forestry section. Probably more interesting for a livestock farmer.
