Wanting to buy an air fed paint mask for my own use when painting bits and pieces that I've made.

What have others got?

I've currently got a 3M P6000 series mask. I also have a 3M air care unit that was being changed in a renovation in my old workplace.

Is the 3M s-200 add on my best route to go to complete the system?

Only an occasional user but prefer to get sorted now than regret it later on in life. I am aware of the dangers of the 2k paint hence why wanting to get the right set up.

My compressor is away from the paint shed and draws air from outside before going through a Boge drier.

Any help on others set ups appreciated.

Thanks Jack

I have a devilbiss air fed, it’s great, you can’t use it straight from the compressor though, you need to have the correct filters or it can be really dangerous, oil and vapour coming through the line.

They take about 3-4cfm so Make sure you’re compressor is up to it.

Thanks for the reply,

Out of curiosity and if you don't mind, what was the cost of your set up?

I have the filter thankfully, its got 3 individual sections for filtering the air.

My compressor is 19cfm so should cope OK?

My mask I believe was a couple hundred for the mask and belt. It’s the best one out there.

The filters we expensive at £800 for a bank of charcoal and high grade oil separator. Also a dryer.

My spray guns which are sata and Arnest iwata use 15-17cfm plus the 4ish for the mask. I have an hpc sm8 which runs 27cfm so copes just fine.
