Alerts not appearing (have to force a page refresh)

Is there a fix for this in the pipeline?

Tis a bit clunky that you have to manually refresh the page to see the alerts pop up.

there is a fix that works but the downside of it is it slows the site down a lot and increases our hosting cost quite a bit

we were investigating a different way to do it but quite honestly forgot about it until you just reminded me

It bloody worked that time! You must have supreme leader powers or something....

Will investigate tomorrow what we can do to get it going again

Any progress? I still get errors all the time when clicking the notifications and threads show up with new posts while I already watched them.
Please bring back auto refresh, it was so good.

We have a small version update to do soon so will take a look at sorting it then
