What's the idea of the alerts then? Turned mine off as they seem a bit ott. The 'whats news' tab is more than sufficient as in BFF.

I've turned some of mine off, but it's nice to know if someone has replied or likes something you've written-may be an ego thing

you can set it up however you like, easy to switch off in your preferences if they are OTT

I find them useful - it's handy knowing if you are being quoted etc
