According to Ettore Bugatti they started out making trucks, so no change really :D

Often thought that a lorry would make a good starting point to make a fun car with a bit of "presense"

Happy days driving my old Alfa sud 1.3, a right pocket rocket, I remember my collage days, racing from Shrewsbury town center back to walford campus, i was driving the sud, 4 up, against a 1.6 ford cortina who was 3 up, the alfa licked it in every department, acceleration and top speed, mine had been rust proofed under neath and was really tidy, it was a real shame i rolled the bloo#dy thing.

This was my first proper car at 18. The insurance used to cripple me, but boy was it worth it!!

Been in love with Alfa’s ever since.

Looks interesting. And very thirsty.
A jag straight 6?
Oh yes! I had a Frod which we shoehorned a 3.8 S type into. Identical to the one in the picture. The scoop had a chromed air filter attached & there was a cut-out in the bonnet to accomodate it. This is when £5 filled a 20 litre jerry-can. So I used to drive 7 miles to put in £5 worth of fuel, drive home again & it needed £5 worth again to repeat. It had a wonderful growl to it when on song & there's a hill I used to roar up getting close to 80 MPH, taking off on a bump half way up.......Same hill is now the venue of a well known annual vintage car event. So probably around 10 to 12 MPG:rolleyes: I think it was rated at 220 HP.
I should have kept just the engine but as ever sold it when it realistically became too costly to run.
