I know that this is probably the wrong place. But as it’s above a cubicle I think I can get away with it ! Anyway does anybody have any suggestions on how to replace it without having to get onto the roof which is 50 yrs old !

This perspex sheet is smashed (although it doesn't look it from the photo), this is in a pen we use to fatten bulls but using it this year to store straw which allows access to the roof. The sheet was repaired a couple of years ago and blew out again but i'll use a solid sheet this time.

Good advice re glueing a piece of the same profile underneath make sure you put plenty on and then use 3 or 4 coarse threaded tex screws , into the high part of the profile . As you wind them in with a cordless drill on slow speed ,if you have put enough (possibly too much ) outdoor type clear silicone , it should glue the whole thing on tidy !! it wont leak in the high part

You need to slot the piece your glueing above the lower sheet ideally.

I’d prefer to be doing it from above, not keen on doing anything from ladders, hence I’ve my own scissor lift and cherry picker, incidentally I’ve spent more time in my cherry picker this last week than I have milking.

Every dry cow season always set a list of jobs to do before the first calves hit the ground. Its surposed to be our break a year but always turnes into a mission impossible and usually start calving early. Am currently altering troughs to suit a feeder wagon, and fenced severel youngstock paddicks.

Talking of twins, I’m having a bad run of twins this past while with plenty more coming. Probably running at around 20%. Any ideas why I’m getting bombarded with them?

Diet at conception, some will tell you it’s an energy gap and the egg splits,I’d say it’s b*llocks it’s high energy at conception, same as flushing sheep.

We get 25% with twins every year. :(

We have some really nice looking Misty (jersey) calves but they look awful in the photos I've taken.

There are some very strong looking Cairo (NF HF) calves
