how are you intending to feed it out of intrest on a low cost grasing system you operate? have you grown the crop of bought it in as extra grub?
It’s been sold. The theory was have it as a silage back up. It’s grown on away ground. So we wholecropped 10 acres and left the rest as the silage pits where the full. How ever we now have an empty silage pit. So I will now spend the income from the wheat on buying maize.
You really can’t make this shambolic carp up.

You really can’t make this shambolic carp up.

Feel your pain. We were intending to wholecrop barley but ended up crimping over 600t. Only upside is that it will displace soda wheat in the tmr blend.
Still, look on the bright side - maize is a better forage than wholecrop wheat

Look on the positive side, you’ve had the income to buy the maize.
