Has anyone on here tried Wagyu?

Thinking of trying a few inseminations. Are there any schemes for the calves?

If so which bull's to use.

Yes ... currently calving crosses to jersey but have some pure ETs soon

Look just like a greyish jersey calf. Fire them out no bother

We have a contract with Warrendale

Bulls supplied through Genus. Used Arubial and Shikikan in the AI straws. Not sure on the ETs

Anyone heard from @Headless chicken recently? Seems to have gone to ground but I am sure he would be extremely pleased to hear that Glanbia have appointed a “Sustainability Manager” to advise us poor saps.

Was supposed to have come here today. Would have been an interesting conversation

Winter seems to have come all of a sudden here, cows were out Sunday night but yesterday morning I had to bring them in at half past ten because they were digging up the field. This time of year is a real drag.

For a cost point would maize store ok with clear sheet, black sheet, then round bales on too and mats around the outside? Is it as important as grass to get every once of air out? Am using additive.

A heap that's well weighted around the edges will make just fine but once you open the clamp and break that seal it's a real job to minimise top waste. I've been making heaps for years and I hate them, I'm really looking forward to opening our new clamp for the first time in a few weeks.

Got a recent outbreak of mastitis & currently waiting on cultures. Heard years ago of a farm spraying paracetic acid on his cubicles before dusting them as he’d a mastitis problem. Anyone on here tried that before? If so is it diluted?
