Looking smart with the hanging baskets outside. When is the open day?
Ah got you now, thank you! Could do with another coat of white really, bit patchy for my liking and the grey needs a pressure wash again because the cows unfortunately don't understand my need for tidinessHanging baskets and whitewash make it look like a house!
Farm assurance standard nowAh got you now, thank you! Could do with another coat of white really, bit patchy for my liking and the grey needs a pressure wash again because the cows unfortunately don't understand my need for tidiness
Just this building that's done so far, but thought I'd start with the parlour as it's the most important one so no open day until the rest are sorted
Is it the picture or have you got a fair slope on the yard?Ah got you now, thank you! Could do with another coat of white really, bit patchy for my liking and the grey needs a pressure wash again because the cows unfortunately don't understand my need for tidiness

I doubt it, they would probably want me to disinfect the leaves on the tree in case they fly into the parlour and get sucked up the clustersFarm assurance standard now
Just the picture, I'm hoping to get the concrete redone next year though as it all drains the wrong way and there's massive holes in it where its broken up and cracked, there's also a massive slop going down to the feed passage which gets like an ice rink so want to try and flatten that out a bit if I canIs it the picture or have you got a fair slope on the yard?
We had a cow two weeks ago just the same. Kept her in and by the evening she was fine.Sorry for the slightly graphic picture.
5th calver calved 6 weeks doing 48l looks perfectly healthy. Eating and going to the robot overnight.
Can’t see any signs if injury so assuming it’s further Down.
Can’t see vets will be able to do anything.
Any suggestions other than chapel and .
Had one similar a while back. Carried on for a month or so. Went on fine and sold in the barrens a couple of years after.Sorry for the slightly graphic picture.

We have been asked for calves from a farm caravan park which will rear them and sell them through their own shop. Have about 10 in calf to Wagyu, first time we have used them so no calving experience until next yearHas anyone on here tried Wagyu?
Thinking of trying a few inseminations. Are there any schemes for the calves?
If so which bull's to use.
OK thanks for the information. We have been asked for calves from a farm caravan park which will rear them and sell them through their own shop. Have about 10 in calf to Wagyu, first time we have used them so no calving experience until next year
We used LIC semen, bull called Brilliant.
I wouldn't recommend using it unless you have an outlet, gestation length longer than Hereford and all reports say nothing to write home about conformation wise.
We have used a homeopathic remedy in the past for cows with serious bleeding from the nose. From a time when we used to get pneumonia in calves. Had really good success with it. Not needed it for yrs news thankfully.Sorry for the slightly graphic picture.

Oh no not something else to worry about that I didn’t know I needed to worryabout before.quick question, what percentage of starch/sugar does everyone aim for across their diets? Am I right in thinking it's between 20 and 30%?
ask the computer programme, all the reps use, or simply ask them, if they start to mention little bags, of this or that, to balance the ration, switch off ears.quick question, what percentage of starch/sugar does everyone aim for across their diets? Am I right in thinking it's between 20 and 30%?
Yes that's the safe rangequick question, what percentage of starch/sugar does everyone aim for across their diets? Am I right in thinking it's between 20 and 30%?
I would but its Sunday and I'm inpatientask the computer programme, all the reps use, or simply ask them, if they start to mention little bags, of this or that, to balance the ration, switch off ears.
The exceptions, are minerals, bicarb, and urea - presumably no longer a cheap source of protien.
