A very strong drying wind overnight and this morning, concrete in our yard bone dry. Water table still filling up our milk parlour pit and my cubicle shed is still self cleaning/washing out, but amazing after yesterday rain how dry fields felt putting fencing up.I’m very jealous!
desperate to get out here

It will be interesting to see what your totalsolids increase was. Grass will give you the volume at the expense of bf and protein.Power of grass haven’t seen milk meters up above 15l for a longtime. Us autumn calvers may be a bigger issue to the spring flush than the spring calvers, I always recon takes a few months to settle cows from calving so spring calvers really don’t get going until May/June View attachment 1166866
Expect they will collapse but although it plays a part in my ppl, extra litres well out weigh it.It will be interesting to see what your totalsolids increase was. Grass will give you the volume at the expense of bf and protein.
So does the reduction in costs. It’s a no brainerExpect they will collapse but although it plays a part in my ppl, extra litres well out weigh it.
