Yep, same story here, but better to have too much this end of winter, will have a work out after Christmas when we house most of the dry cows and work out what’s left and what needs to eat what.

Mine only have a couple of days grazing left, I'll drop them off on Wednesday, is 100 okay? If you just let them out in march I reckon they'll find there own way back down here

Hmm, maybe I need to change my calculation from the days when we had our own Welger RP 200. My contractor got a new McHale this spring. 470 milkers have only been on 6 bales a day recently so maybe I've got more silage than i previously thought

Chap across the river here had a welger, changed it for a McHale and then had to change his loader tractor to move the new bales

Probably about twice as much.

The fusion bales here are over a ton, and its not particularly wet silage. The contractor was reckoning to getting more in a fusion bale than a well packed HD 3x3x6'6.

I think we will be getting a more substantial loader tractor in future. It does get pretty exciting!

I just assumed the front tyres needed a bit more air. It's still lifting two at a time.

Only two at a time for loading the trailer to bring them back to the dairy with 160 hp Claas then one at a time with the old tractor and bale shear into rings.

What I'm feeding at the moment though is too dry really for milkers, it could be pushing 50%.

Yeah, once we have finished sealing it with clay, we will put a ramp up and in.

No, full planning with ea approval. All the soil was tested to make sure it was suitable for using as a lining.
