Indeed, you in Ireland now Ross ?
I am.
Drinks break on the 2nd day.
1st day was hard going. Dry subject matters and the speakers weren't overly engaging. I'm sure round a table in the pub it would be different. Take home message for me was don't suffer from policy drift which is something we have suffered from recently. Compounded by having a strong milk price I need to correct this. A decent take home message.
Evening dinner was good and the networking and speaking to many people from all 4 corners of the world has been very interesting. I was sat next a 10,000l housed AYR chap - I think he got the wrong flight.
This morning session was the best so far on labour hours used and reducing them. Sounds like I have capacity to reduce hours from 30/cow to 25/cow and that is a reasonable aim. Coming up later we have sessions on people management, breeding and business management delivering €3000/ha profit.
This has been Ross Symons reporting for TFF, back to you in the studio.
