Buts that lagoon is right for a lifetime,ours is similar,no diggers needed to empty it whats next separator? Concrete pad by the side of it ?

No plans for a separator but never say never. Concrete scrape way down into it and a bit of a pad along side where dirty water tank is and to ramp out of it.

Definitely halved our milking and feeding routine and cows looking healthier too. Looking forward to getting some cows into new cubicles soon.

It's level. Dirty water tank has a sump in it.

Did the slat fail or did it just fall it? All the slatted sheds around here have columns and beams cast in situ, we never have to drive on slats but I do wonder how strong suspended passages will be over time.

Slatted sheds don't excite me in the slightest firstly the gas danger
Secondly the risk of machines breaking through slats or even stock going through slats. Some one not too far from us ended up sat in his near full tank under his shed when teleporter went through his 2yr old slatted floor made me shiver could have been a very nasty outcome.
Thirdly the expense

We are into sandstone when we get digging but not a very good stone do get some better seams but we mainly refer to it as mud rock cos it just goes to sh!t when you break in down.

Yield has dropped back a fair bit but milk sold per year has stayed the same

8500 at 4.4 and 3.5 is pretty good. So your milking more cows then? So is that 695 kilos u produced last year

Yeah trying to but wether it's the right thing to do? I've done it through my own heifers which is why milk has dropped a bit I suppose because I'm carrying more heifers.
Yeah 695kgs not quite that magic 700kgs yet
