All things Dairy

I use the Defra template that others have referred you to, I keep a separate register for dairy and beef, as the beefies are all sold at 5 weeks, apart from the odd one. Just print pages off and keep in a ring folder, I find it's often quicker to look things up on paper than electronic records. Its belt and braces as I also use Interherd+ software (NMR) which is linked to BCMS so I use it for passport applications and movements too.
Most definitely agree with this- I use Interherd+ too along with paper records. Belt and Braces are a must!

Laying concrete in this weather is challenging to say the least !!!! Silage clamp condemned by ea should now be fully compliant and may have expanded slightly 250cube of concrete to replace 1000 concrete sleepers .
You should let your cows out. You wouldn’t have needed all that extra concrete 😉

What do you do if you’ve got 6 months slurry storage but come April 1st the tower is full and the fields are so saturated you couldn't legally spread slurry on them, and there’s rain forecast every day for the next 2 weeks?

Will 7 months slurry storage become the required standard down the line?

Asking for a friend.

Speak to the ea, they've been very helpful down here I believe with people in the same situation

They would rather you spread in less than ideal conditions than risk an overspill of the tank

When you’ve got to go, you’ve got to go.
