Sadly any information that goes to a public body can, and is, made available to "the public". Sometimes it is in a limited format and in others it is very accurate mostly depending on those "terms and conditions" none of us read!
The FB Calf page had something like 950 members when I peaked at it, in terms of numbers that is negligible even on a national level.
As with any fad/extremist if they are starved of the oxygen of publicity they fade away.

You are right. It gets me wound right up but actually the more exposue it gets, the better. You just need to go onto their page and see how gloaty they are about the coverage it is getting and making comments like "oh the farmers are quaking in their boots" Probably best to let it die out. Folk will soon get bored of wandering around in the cold, in the dark filming jack sh1t. The video I seen with the calves captioned "its -2" the wee things were all perfectly comfortable, clean straw etc, the only thing causing them any kind of upset was the nutjob making noise and waving a light about in their faces!

For anyone interested there is a Facebook page been set up "stop project calf" encouraging everyone to post and share positive pictures of their work....I also seen a link to a petition to have trespassing laws tightened. I will need to find it again and can link it if anyone is interested.....

I never hold up much faith in the NFU....they seem to miss many opportunities to stand up for the industry imo and I was really really put off them when one of their employees was mocking/being completely unsupportive to a farmer online (on social media for all to see I might add) after said farmer suffered a terrible injustice!
That would be brilliant, please do :)
TBH the NFU are an almost complete waste of space and I wouldn't be surprised if there are indeed vegans/sympathisers within the organisation, also.

I take it, Ecotricity will rewire directly from their "guilt-free" power plant straight to my house and not use any or dirty dirty western power wires! plus their staff better not eat any meat for their lunch when installing

The footballers of Forest Green Rovers have to eat vegan food by order of the owner - one Dale Vince.

He was not pleased when they were filmed stuffing their faces with Greggs pasties ......

Been thinking about this, surely he cant tell am employee what too eat

Part of their contract I believe.
If you google Forest Green Rovers you will see that they promote themselves first and foremost as the greenest football club in the world ... which is a very bold statement
