Another Camera (help)

I'm on a main road which is Very open. More so since a load of trees were cut down as they were getting too close to overhead cables/pylon.

I get a lot of thefts, so I've bought a cctv camera. The building I intend to run it from, well, anyone with half a brain cell would be able to spot it - and Steal it. No, there isn't anywhere else I can put it, I can't do up a tree now, and it has also got a little solar panel, that needs,,,,,, Sun!!

My question is : HOW have you guys secured your camera's? What have you bolted it down with? Is there anything with a security key, that I can lock the base? It's like this one in the pic, what's to stop anyone climbing up and robbing it? Help!

Is it any use anyway plod won't do anything , lack of evidence is usually excuse. Even if you had a full face shot .(unlikely as scum bags masked up ). If they want in they will be in.
Lots of lights and dogs maybe.

You could try mounting it in a bird box to hide it
Brilliant idea in theory, but the cam itself is quite big, sure it needs to wizz round as well. The solar panel would fit on it's roof. I Could say the local herons have moved in :)

I live minutes away, so could be down like a shot. There is one particular scum-bag I'm after who Must do early mornings. I don't think I'm allowed to keep a dog down there, plus the nosey neighbours (who don't seem to nosey when there is someone going through my stuff) would soon complain. Be nice though if doggie would take his leg off (oops!)

Put it on a 2inch x2inch 20 ft pole cemented into ground

or use a skyhook?
Hi Beef
Where do I get one of those please? (skyhook)
If and when I need to change batteries, I can't see me climbing up a 20' pole. I know, chop it down and cement it back up again. Postcrete works pretty sharpish.
I've found some tape to stick it on with, this stuff is supposed to work on bricks?
