Have never had a good experience dealing with Pecks tbh, to the point I’d rather let TNS get amazone parts off them and suffer the extra cost 😏

Pecks were always a well renowned firm in Ely for New Holland.
My father bought his first Clayson Combine, an M140 with a14’ header from them after a demonstration of it at his Tile House Farm at Stretham, from Pecks. He and I have never ventured to any other make since.

For Tractors he away a dedicated Massey man which he bought from F A Standens, also at Ely, now gone!
Though to be fair are now TNS at Littleport.

I wish every success to Pecks JCB and hope they take heart that Lower Quinton Garages made a very good success of being solely a JCB dealer, having initially lost their Renault franchise and then McCormick (which were crap anyway!). When Geoff Lockwood retired, he passed LQG onto Oliver’s who are OK but very much more expensive, as all large dealers always are.

we got to nicolsons for jcb
and when b b gave up amazon , and pecks got it , tim smith said his parts business shot up ,
these big faceless outfits deserve it
and sadly hear the red place in nam maybe shutting end of yesr
There are various rumours about our favourite supplier in Fakenham, but everyone (even me) needs to do a bit of retiring sometime. Tim Smith is an excellent man to deal with as well (once you have located him). Almost as remote as Mill Lane Engineering at Briston, another good local company.

A lot of them look to be not sold
Sorry yes altered since lunch.

The job is fecked for dealers

Click on bidding history for the price of each item. That Farmall looks a proper bargin. Its a Farmall C not a Farmall A

I believe pecks stuck there in oar in and caused Nicholson's to loose JCB so serves them right.
There's a lot who won't deal with pecks.

Still a lot of JCB customers using Nicholsons for service work even on newer machines once they are out of warranty although it was getting harder when it came to software based issues.

Was shocked when I saw about pecks earlier today.another dealer closed up this week but can’t recall their name
nick...

Does have announced this week that they have taken over two Burdens branches in Lincolnshire unless there’s another dealer change this week as well.
