Come on, have the courage, you know you want to - especially you @Ashtree *- defend your beloved EU. Spain and some others have broken their own national (as required to have by EU law) and EU laws on various things. You lot were dead-keen on 'international law' being followed a while ago, why no comments now?
Lots of examples to go through - even from dear old Germany - but let's focus on the most unpleasant for now... Spain, and its appalling and illegal treatment of migrants. Now, odd as it may seem, France and others - including the EU itself in the person of the ever-competent** UvdL - have backed up Spain.
Yes, you read that correctly, the EU via the EC has said it supports one of its own member states breaking both EU and its own law...
It's true folks, obviously it's all very embarrassing for all concerned, but the facts remain. So... again, who is going to hold up their hand and pledge support for this outrageous law-breaking? Who is going to be honest enough to say, they don't care, it's in the EU so it's fine just because of that?
Or are there any who'll do the obvious, rational thing of condemning such hypocrisy, such abuse of human rights and such flagrant betrayal of the 'European ideals'...?
*But not @czechmate because he's been honest enough about not caring for democracy etc. from the start.
