Funny how you just read a thread about them and suddenly they pop up on FB :watching:
on a sponsored ad
.....

I just ordered a couple of these as the jaw went on my old one.

G coupler is best?

For a short time......they stay on ok but the grease comes out the sides after a while.
Don't find these to last any better either..

Can't beat Macnaught IMO. Currently using Sparex and they're useless, first grease nipples they grip so hard you can't get them off and maybe snap the nipple, then after a while won't stay on and leak grease.

Absolutely not one of these, they don’t fit all nipples and get full of crud so don’t clip.

What he said!
Thought it was a good idea but its a pain in the backside.

Bought a G coupler style( not a G coupler)but its too bulky, any nipple that is in the corner of a housing is a no go.
Back to cheap Sparex just now.
Seems a bigger issue with the battery gun than in the past.
Some form of quick release of the pressure in the pipe when on a stuck nipple would help as i reckon its twisting about trying to get it to disconnect that knackers them.

Ive had coupler seem buggered, wont conect , it was compacted shite in side of each jaw , clam shell , strip scrape out , locks on again. But stripping, re. Assembling a 4 jaw is a muppet job

I hook the seal out and spray some carb cleaner in to flush the junk out. Usually a bit of grit or a seed is enough to cause trouble.

For what its worth lads,
ive been road testing couplers for some time now, different makes of the standard couplers when there was nothing else and over the last few years the quick connectors when they came out, theres a few flavours in a box here but none that actually hit the spot so to speak.

that was until i got a couple of Doost connectors, in my humbel opinion they do everything ive ever asked from them, there is a long and a short version, i only use the long type as it has a greater reach.
to me, its the best coupler on the market today bar none.

Does the thread on this fit the Malwaukie gun?

We have the long and the short G couplers in stock. M10 and 1/8 bsp threads. Also for those of you who say they did work but now leak, have some repair kits to replace the internals.

Vapormatic ones in stock too, well made but bulky

No fault Dave but Everybody has G couplers in stock at this stage, I think you can even get them in a chemist now they are in that many places.

And I must admit, the force isn't as strong with me as it once was so right about now all I know is some buck called Dave has them in stock..

So, after personally using the G coupler and about 5 others in the quick coupler's range, when I came to the Doost it made the rest of them look like Dinasours.
Don't get me wrong, the old G coupler isn't bad, it's just there is a better option out there now for the same price, but that's only my humble opinion.
