Any official end in sight to keeping poultry indoors re bird flu ??

As above. It seems rather odd that we were told to house poultry last November (?), although even that was a bit low key and plenty of people around here did nt know or chose to ignore the order. I will be honest and say that I have not heard a thing about it since but with migrating birds about to leave (?) Is there any news re relaxing the indoor housing order ?

The last notification of an outbreak was on 13 feb in Leven.
So about 4 weeks ago. Not sure how long after that they give the all clear but guessing 6 to 8 weeks.

Been no end round here still running free ,,garden birds all over the place

And around our way, and it drives me mad as our girls have been stuck inside the coop for months and aren't happy in the least. We try and think of ways to entertain them but we're all getting a bit tired of it now.

Neighbouring free range place told me he'd heard mid April for relaxation of the rules. Not heard anything myself so not sure where he'd got that.

I just got this:

Dear Stakeholder
GB Governments have announced plans to lift poultry housing measures from 23:59 on 31 March. The Avian Influenza Prevention Zone mandatory biosecurity measures remain in place for all birds. If you intend to allow your birds outside after 31 March you must take action now to prepare the outside areas, please check the information available at:
GOV.UK: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/avian-influenza-bird-flu,
GOV.SCOT: https://www.gov.scot/news/avian-influenza-housing-measures-set-to-be-lifted-on-31-march/ and
