Any pictures of the river lugg in flood???

I hope it’s helped enourmously...not only for the poor people who’s houses would of been flooded, but also that Mr Price gets some recognition for his work and how stupid the EA are for not dredging rivers out when everyone else can see it’s a necessity
Everyone!!!!!!’
I don’t suppose the everyone extends far beyond farmers and those who have had their homes flooded, the headlines were of environmental devastation.😕

Now if you’d said everyone with any common sense...........

If it’s reduced the flooding in the village it will have done so by moving the water downstream faster. Expect to see pictures of the next village down the river under water, as evidence of the ‘damage’ Mr Price’s work has done.:banghead:

The work needs doing right down, or it just moves the problem on a bit.
Why would it show in the next village? If it floods downstream of Kingsland it will either be at the next section of low lying ground or the next pinch point (or both).
IIRC the next habitation the Lugg passes is Leominster, and I think we’d have heard in the news if there was flooding there.

Yes hopefully this is what they will do , wtf are Rivers for if the EA are just going to sit there and watch them block up , if they can't or wont do the job let the natives get on with it, they will get the message in the end when they find if you don't clear them out you get flooded , and all will follow suit and water finds it's way to the pond !

Our TFF resident dredger @Cab-over Pete is on site today surveying the river.
Not sure why he’s been dredging with his head though???

Thats just not the case. The rivers were originally designed to cope with increasing flow the further away from the the source. Every road bridge acts like a leaky dam if it is allowed to silt up. Water will then find its way around the dam and thats when you get severe flooding.
