Not sure why you’d bother, no premium on hfd bulls and they’re slow enough growing so you’re better off having them as a steer surely?!

Ours came from Salbri somewhere in the wilds near Llanfechell. Marion (IIRC) is the lady farmer's name and usually has 15 month onward for sale

Lovely gentle natured bull (as far as you'd trust any bull). Can recommend

John Douglas( Ervie Herefords) near Stranraer has an annual sale every February, and sells approx 50 bulls at it .
He’d sell more than half I guess to dairy boys as sweepers !

Couldn't agree more!
After a couple of bulls this year, somehow I don't think I shall be aloud to travel up under current covid regs.
things will need to change drastically.

A traditional/original population Hereford bull could be a good shout for that job. Physically smaller, so easier on the heifers when bulling, and low birth weights. Wouldn't be expensive either.

Absolutely- low birthweight vital. Plenty available for not much money - and yes they can reach!!
