Been in a few now , on the ground & with the engine running but not been flying in one yetInteresting program on Monday evening to do with spitfires, going up in the 2 seater is definitely on my bucket list
Did a job for Eddie Jordan a few years ago he took me round the factory ,and allowed me to sit in one of his F1 cars then he showed me how to start it up the noise was awesome .but wouldn’t let me take it to Silverstone to have a go round the circuit The factory was only based across the road from the circuit then . I have been in a couple more f1 to describe the seating position is like sitting in the bath with your feet resting on the taps . I have got two good friends who are top of the league who design F1 cars .next big birhday I want to do this

Were they German? We used to have the two seater based a few miles from us in Suffolk. Caroline Grace was the pilot. Locals complained about the noise of her flying once a week and got it banned.... that was a dark day! The ring leader ended up moving as they got so much local hatred for complaining
Wasn’t that the Spitfire , Carolines husband was restoring it .and he died halfway through the project so she took it over ,and learn to fly it.We used to have the two seater based a few miles from us in Suffolk. Anything with a Merlin is a compulsory stop to look to see where it is!!!And mine.
Anything with that Merlin engine would do. The sound almost sends shivers down my spine.
Yes that’s the oneWasn’t that the Spitfire , Carolines husband was restoring it .and he died halfway through the project so she took it over ,and learn to fly it.
It'll be dry sump, much like a decent race engine, they have scavenge pumps that suck the dregs of oil out and from there it would go into a central tank and then pumped to wear it needs to be. Some of the Aston engines are dry sump and suspect a few other high performance car engines too.How does lubrication system work when the engine can be at any angle?
I have left message regarding going up
next big birhday I want to do this
