Anyone made a beef monitor?

really like the Ritchie beef monitor, so I'd like to make my own to measure finishing cattle weights.

Anyone made one already? Any pitfalls?

How much would a panel eid reader cost?

Thinking the same here.My son is studying electrical engineering and reckons he could make one similar at a fraction of the price.

You wouldn't need a panel reader. A simple system would be to put your rid reader within tag range on the weigh unit and then have it Bluetooth to a tablet or phone with management software. Do it once a week for a day or even half a day they all have to drink at some point just need a cheap cattle weigh platform and a water trough.
