Bought a Foster gg1700 x scrubcutter last December new for £6160 +vat.

Only done 2 or 3 days work so hardly done anything. Still over a years warranty on it. Didnt suit my needs so looking to move it on. Have someone wanting me to tell them what I want for it.

Anyone give me a price?. I don't know what to put on it. Thanks

Do you know if new ones have went up much since? (everything seems to be going up in price)
Depends how keen they are to buy, and you start negotiating between £5500 and £6000?

Is your machine like this just found this one on the net
So I value yours at £6350
Or put it a farm sale make £7550 ? You know what I mean
Or ring Ellis machinery will buy anything and give you a good price

Thats the one yeah. Had it up on Facebook for sale a few months ago for £5300 and didn't get any interest. I guess not being a common machine not many will be after one

Nearly new lightly used machines are the hardest to sell. Yes in theory it should be worth 90/95% of new price. But in reality who is going to buy a used year old machine when they can have a brand new one for little extra money.
If you've got someone wanting it then just do your best to do a deal. The next customer might be another year away.
Tell him what it cost new and ask him how close he would be prepared to get to it.

Why did you take it off Facebook? At least I guess you have as nothing coming up for North of Scotland when I look. Not that I’m interested in buying, but no point in removing until sold, surely (and regularly re-list too). I’d have thought it’s getting to time of year when they might be in demand - quite a few toppers were sold through Dingwall yesterday.

Tbh its probably still there unless fb removed it. Would have put it into the sale but a long way to go to get offered 3k and have to take it home. As the poster obove said, lightly used stuff is hard sell without losing a lot of money unless new is not available for a year like 360 machines at the moment

Tell me it wasn't just on something like 'East Sutherland and South Caithness buy, swap, sell' group, please - get it back on the Marketplace for a try, plus as many other relevant groups as you can find.
