Applying p and k at 36m

Just a little information, at the minute all spraying is done by contractors but going to take it back in hand and do it ourselves. Not looking to spend too much but liquid fertiliser is a possibility and have several possibilities to look at. At the minute we’re on 24m but ideally would like to go 28m to fit in with 4m drill width. If one was to go wider and to 36m how is everyone applying p and k with a spreader or would it be pushing the boundaries too much? We’ve a Kuhn axis on s4 but presume the discs/vanes can be changed to s6 or s8?

I can't speak for Kuhn spreaders but my 15 year old Amazone ZAM Ultra spreads TSP, Kieserite and MOP at 36m. MOP requires the widest vane setting but all 3 tray tested ok.

No they won't.

But you will save more and get a better product that spreading TSP or mop 36m yourselves.

That’s true, but not really what the OP was asking. It would potentially save a fert spreader but rely on a contractor’s belt floor lime spreader post harvest when you’re busy enough already.

Have you taken any land out of production from last autumn?
