Approximate cost for lean to on an existing shed

Could anyone be so kind to give approximate price for 25/30ft wide lean to an existing steel portal potato store 80ft long. 16ft *(not 20ft, re edited)* bays with a fibre cement roof. With no cladding on both the side and ends. Price including installation and manufacture.

It will be cheaper to put up an apex building 10feet away from it if that is feasible. By the time they have done drilling and setting up they could have a frame up. Apex cheaper too with lighter steels.

Very much doubt that, twice as many rafters to make, double the columns to buy, double the footings, double the gutters.

Mag drilling 6 holes in each column doesn't take long.

I had the option last year for either freestanding 40ft apex or same lean-to. Even allowing for a heavier rafter to enable a shallow pitch to preserve headroom, the lean-to was 30% cheaper. Drilling 9 sets of 8 holes took half a day, including removing the gutter and sidesheets, both were reused on the low side with existing fixing holes by careful planning of new side purlins.

I can see it if you are recycling gutters and the side

It may be that lean to is only way, but a separate adjacent shed will be more versatile, and have much better tipping height when you decide in future to use it as a store.
Lean-tos also allow vermin to access adjoining buildings mire easily.

did you ever go ahead with this? I am half planning a 60/30 lean too onto a 17ft high shed….. interested to know a rough price before I get to far into thinking about it!

Just priced a 32ft x 120ft lean to FC roof and fully clad with no doors. Frame and rafters galvanised wooden purlins.

Not got all quotes back but in the range of 22 to 24k delivered.

Material cost for me to buy everything was around 12k with potentially another 3k to galvanise.

That doesn’t sound too bad 👍
