Archery club searching for woodland

We are a group of archers searching for suitable woodland and supportive landlords who we can work with to create a field archery club in the West Midlands and Worcestershire area. The majority of us live in or just south of Birmingham and for this reason would ideally be looking for woodland in this area.

What we can offer a landlord? Field archery is far less intrusive and noisy to the environment than other activities often practiced in woodland like paintball or motor-cross. We seek to maintain the woodland with the goal being to set targets in a natural environment working with the terrain and landscape. A key part of field archery is working with the terrain to make the most of it whilst retaining the natural charm and beauty. Many field courses across the country are housed on hillsides and/or mixed woodland.

Why not check out one of our governing bodies the National Field Archery Society (http://www.nfas.net/home.asp) The National Field Archery Society also provides a comprehensive insurance package for its clubs, or check out an online blog (Off the Arrow Shelf https://offthearrowshelf.wordpress.com/ or club website https://briarrosefieldarchers.wordpress.com/) which provides a useful insight into field archery from the archers perspective.

We look forward to hearing from you and building a productive and mutually beneficial relationship in the future.
