The Area Sales Development Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our client’s customer base in Scotland. You will foster strong business relationships with dealer networks in the area, supporting their needs and facilitating hands-on product demonstrations when required. Thriving on the opportunity to grow sales you will be eager to identify new business leads leveraging your industry contacts. Renowned for its exceptional product quality, durability, and outstanding customer service, the company prides itself on its deep expertise and knowledge, which are central to its operations. The company is constantly developing and improving its equipment designs to meet the unique needs of farmers. Currently, the business is experiencing an exciting and significant growth phase and requires a well-connected sales development manager for Scotland.

Role Responsibilities:
  • To develop and implement sales strategies to achieve targets and business growth
  • To proactively build and develop strong business relationships within the dealer network
  • To support the dealer network offering product training, product updates and demonstrations
  • To actively identify and cultivate new business opportunities to drive sales
  • To attend promotional events and industry exhibitions, increasing brand presence
  • To stay abreast of competitor activity, monitoring industry trends and developments
Skills you will need:
  • Proven experience within an agricultural machinery sales role
  • A strong understanding of agriculture and livestock systems
  • Results driven with a track record of achieving sales targets
  • Well-connected in the agricultural industry and farming networks
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build and develop relationships easily
  • Strong networking and interpersonal skills
  • Highly organised, able to manage own diary and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
  • Confident operating agricultural machinery and towing a trailer
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Good commercial awareness with an ambitious mindset
  • A UK driving licence with the desire and willingness to travel
