Artic access into feed store

Looking to build a new feed store to tip straights out of artic lorries under cover. The shed can’t be more than 29m/95ft wide internally due to other buildings. Access in front of the shed is ample to either draw in or reverse in. Height of the shed is enough to tip an artic to full height.

Would like to tip into 7m long x 6m wide bays amd be able to swing out without a shunt. This will leave 15m from the edge of the bay to turn out the opposite door. Will this be possible or is it just too tight?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks all. 1-2 load a week on average so not major traffic, just want it to be easy!!
Tipping with the angle of the roof will help the height issue. Have been measuring the height of fully tipped artics and are all in the region of 10.5m

Just a random thought but can't you get deliveries using a walking floor? Save some height. But maybe not possible with what your buying or the company you deal with

I was told 12m,mine is 15m in the centre so no problems.

We’ll be going with a 17.5 degree pitch so about 14m height in the middle. Tipping with the angle of the roof will help and the tipping bay walls will be inline with the purlins so won’t lose any height there.

cant see that being a problem to tip in for most drivers
Your always going to get the odd one that just won’t have it everyone else gets in ok and makes a drama out of it
Thanks, they don’t seem to like turning when tipped so as long as they can get back down before the opposite bays should be alright

We buy off several different companies so whilst a walking floor would make the shed build easier I’m not sure it future proofs the building unfortunately.
It may make it easier for height considerations but not for length. Depending on the product, the trailer and the driver you could be looking at some where up to 45 ft required to get the load off a walking floor. They are also a pain to tip around a corner to exit a tight bay as your tipping

We run a mix of trailer makes and types of floor and headboard and the difference in discharging the same load can be quite big. Some can push it into a big heap where as others need to be constantly moving forward as the load comes out. The Legras I have can get compost/maize into a slightly longer heap than a tipper would, or if the customer is being awkward I can make it go as far as I can manage ;) ;)
