On behalf of Ashby YFC I would like to thank everyone who attended for your support, I will post the £ figures when I have sorted out the few expenses, busy combining at the moment.

Does this work, is it a good idea. thought it would save a lot of the scramble to see the score sheets at bigger matches. Two judges so 2 sheets

Very good to see results wish all match organisers would do the same. Also good to see that the two judges which I presume judged from opposite ends with no conferring both agreed on the result.

Thanks Sprayer but......
It would be good to know who the plot numbers relate to.
For a good few years there are a number of ploughmen who have been demanding sight of the actual score sheets at the National as produced by the judges. This would eliminate several grey areas.

It would eliminate any possibility of errors whilst transferring scores to the homogenised version of the sheet we see.
It would minimise the possibility of any retribution taken against any particular individual.
It would help to minimise any local bias.

Last season at a local Yorkshire match despite the judges managing to keep the sheets dry despite an appalling day, the sheets got wet whilst being viewed by the ploughmen. The organiser - in good faith, dried them out and as they were extremely bad to read, inked over them, getting some of the scores wrong in the process. This changed the placings which was not good for the Organisers, Judges, or Competitors. Genuine mistakes do happen. We are all mere mortals.

Well done Richard. There is a very close agreement between the judges, so their quality is also showing through. Regarding Howards comment, I printed some score sheets that are waterproof and can be written on in the wet with virtually anything. The paper is called "Toughprint". I have not actually put them to use yet but they should work. The other problem for judges is very windy conditions and I print the sheets on thin card about 300g instead of 80g paper.
