Atcost guttering

The old asbestos guttering on the atcost barn has had it. It is the usual type that just sits in those metal brackets that hook over the concrete eaves beams.

What have people replaced theirs with?

Had the same problem,we used plastic 150mm gutter and down pipes ,fixed the gutter to metal brackets with strong zipp tyes.

Mine is tek screwed to the metal brackets (obviously high up the side!)

Thomas panels do a galvanised steel gutter that fits in the original asbestos brackets, 6” or 8” is available, I’ve fitted loads of it and it’s the cheapest option in the long run.

Thanks we did look at that a couple of years ago but whilst the guttering wasn't too bad the haulage was a lot. We have just fitted Brett Martin deepflow plastic which lays in them well and just put the odd Tek in to hold in place. Seems to be working well and haven't had any problems with the thunderstorms which keep passing through

Years ago we put plastic guttering inside the existing asbestos, give it a decent overlap and it will be fine for years.

Fine for a couple of years, starts to leak much beyond that
