Thought I would flag this up just incase anyone had seen the recent communication re Bird Flu in UK.

The comment in the ProMED-mail posting archive number:
http://promedmail.org/post/20161129.4660667 is incorrect in that we
have not detected H5N8 HPAI in the UK recently. I think you have
picked up a press release from 2014, not 2016.

Please correct this immediately because we are already getting queries
from trading partners who are concerned that we have not followed the
correct notification procedures. I suggest deleting the whole block of
text since it is old news.

I would be grateful if you could highlight this correction so we can
point it out to the governments who have complained.

[ProMED-mail thanks Dr. Simon Hall for correctly flagging this error.
As Dr. Hall notes, HPAI H5N8 has not been recently detected in the
UK.

The ProMED comment on posting

release, and not 2016 press release. This ProMED comment will be
deleted and corrected in the aforementioned post.
