B250 steering box oil

Just finished putting new bearing kit in steering box, googled for best oil, and struggled for answer, workshop manual currently hidden in safe place, any body able know which oil suitable. Thanks in advance

You need to put in liquid grease, fill it very full, as this is heavier that water it will keep it out of the bearings, oil is lighter than water and let's water in to the bottom against the bearings

IH Lubrication chart says SAE 90 approx 2 1/4 pints.

W140 oil mix with grease might get you away, if no liquid grease available.

Suitable grease was available as a landrover part, it was used in the front ball housings, and I believe that it is also used on JD balers auto lube systems.

Sounds like the stuff I have used just it's Britpart now, you can get it on the well known auction site.

Selargs , batemans , preston , sell a red grease for there guns , semi fluid grease its like jam .
Biggest problem will be putting in in things .
Ive used it on weepy boxes
