Bale analysis results

Due to start lambing start of January, bales analysed as below. Cut in July. Will 18% nut suffice? Tia.

That rather depends on the 18% nut. It was made from grass that was older than ideal I guess, as it's pretty mediocre stuff?

I'd be looking for a nut with as high an energy level as I could find, it's energy you'll be lacking, even more than protein.

Yes cut really because it got away on the sheep so barred half the field off.
I have some other bales which will be lower DM but I'm guessing higher protein (will get results shortly) as it had a lot of red and white clover in the mix. But these bales are 10 miles closer to the lambing shed!
Been quoted 306/ton in bags or 270 from another firm. On paper the more expensive feed looks better but not heard anything bad of the other firms feeds.
